Last minute NYE hairstyles!

Hi ladies!
I wanted to show these cute and easy hairstyles that are totally NYE approved.

This first updo is chic but casual at the same time. This look is easy to achieve; you just do a little bit of teasing, make a messy bun and take out some random pieces to frame your face. If you want you can curl your hair too.

I think this is such a fun, but classic hairstyle. It is basically just a messy bun, but then on the side!
You can put a flower or a different hair accessory in your hair to top off this side bun.

The next look is really classy. Twist the front loosely and pin it to the back of your head. Then make a low ponytail and wrap a piece of hair around it to add a extra touch of chicness. You can make loose curls or really defined ones to finished off the look.

If you love braids, I added a pretty hairstyle for you as well :) First, you should make a little side braid and braid it all the way to the back. Pin this braid to the back of your head. Then you can make any bun you would like.

Hopefully this inspired you to do a fun hairstyle tonight.

Happy New Year!

Friday's Fancies: new year's finest

Hi ladies,
I always get a little nervous when the new year approaches. There are so many opportunities, changes and new blessings that a new year can bring. When I think about my life last year, it has changed tremendously! I'm sure that next year I will look back at 2013 and I will think the same. Especially because I have so many great ideas, trips and goals planned for 2013. But before we get into that, let's celebrate the amazing year of 2012! Cheers to that :)

Cosy Winter Must-haves

Hi ladies,
"Oh the weather outside is frightful..."I just love to get warm and cosy during this season! I think it is important to make my home a place to relax and to get comfy. So, here are some of my must-haves to brighten up my cold-weather cool :)

My first must-have is a chunky knit cardigan or sweater. I think this is the first step to get all comfy!

Off course, we shouldn't forget our feet. I usually wear Nice warm slippers or socks for my cold feet :)

I love decorating my home! I think that lovely candles add some cosiness instantly.

I love my hot water bottle. I've been making one every night!

Tea is my favourite drink during the cold months. I especially love vanilla and cinnamon apple.

What do you do during this season to get warm and cosy at home?

Hope you had a great Christmas!

December Favourites

Hi ladies,
Hope you're having a great weekend!
I wanted to share some of my favourite things of this month. Hope you enjoy :)

December Favourites

1. Sweater dresses
I've been wearing a lot of sweater dresses this month. I usually wear them with jeggings and a nice belt to cinch in the waist.

2. Tea tree water from Lush
I love this product! I've been using it to clean my face with a cotton pad or I spray it on my face after putting on my make-up.

3. Nyx round lipstick in Black Cherry
During this time of year, I always wear more dark lipsticks. At the moment I love Black Cherry of Nyx. I really like Nyx round lipsticks in general.

4. Wellies by Hunter
I wore these babies all month! I wore them when it snowed, I wore them when it rained and I wore them just because they are pretty :)

5. Hello Fab! diamond strand necklace
I ordered this beautiful necklace and I've been wearing it ever since I got it. It is such a versatile piece and it really can make an outfit.

6. Ciaté Mistress
Around the holidays I always wear more reds on my nails. This is one of the colours I'm currently loving.

7. Warm, cosy slippers :)
I think I'm speaking for everyone living in cold weather: When it gets colder outside, your slippers become your best friend!

8. F88 palette
I have the W88 palette and the F88 palette. Both palettes have warm tones and I love them equally.
However the F88 palette has more shimmery colours, which I love wearing during this season.

9. Butter London Rosie Lee
I've been obsessed with glitter polish, as you may have seen here. This colour is on my wish list for 2013 :)

I would love to hear some of your favourites this month.
Happy holidays!!

Friday's Fancies: Holiday Best

Hi ladies,
this weeks Friday's Fancies is all about the holidays!
I immediately thought of a cute holiday sweater, like I posted here.

Glitter nails

Hi ladies,
I've been wearing a lot of glitter nail polish lately. I love small glitter, big chunks of glitter and mixes of both. Usually I will do a fun accent nail with glitter, glitter tips or full glitter nails. Today I was looking for some inspiration online and I wanted to show you some great ideas and colour combinations!

Nude with gold different sizes of glitter.

Sophisticated and subtle glitter.

French manicure with glitter

Black and gold

Chunks of glitter with smaller pieces

Different colours of glitter

I think it is so much fun to wear glitter, especially during this season!
Do you wear glitter nail polish?

Drugstore favourites

Hi ladies!
I love drugstore make-up. I used to always buy at least one item when I walked in a drugstore. However, since I'm on a no buy, I haven't bought anything there.
Now I've come to realize what I really love in my make-up collection and what I never reach for.
Here's my top 5 of affordable beauty products!

Drugstore favourites
 1. 88 warm palette
I love this palette! It's so much fun to play with this palette and the possibilities are endless. I don't remember where I got mine, but several online webshops sell these.

2. elf brushes
These brushes are great! I have all of the eye shadow brushes and I love them. And they are only $1 or 1!

3. NYX jumbo pencils
I use the jumbo pencils as a base, before I put on any eye shadow. This base makes sure that my eye shadow lasts all day and makes the eye shadow show up more. My favourite colours are 'cottage cheese' and 'milk'.

4. Sleek blushes
Sleek blushes are really pigmented and there is a huge colour variety available. Therefore, Sleek has a perfect blush for every skin tone. My favourites are "flamingo" and "Rose Gold".

5. Essence lip pencils
Most lip pencils feel really dry on the lips and need a lipstick on top. However, these lip pencils are really moisturising and pigmented. I wear these lip pencils by themselves. My favourite colour is "cute pink".

Do you like drugstore beauty products? What are your favourites?

Happy Sunday!

Holiday Countdown: Cute Holiday Sweaters

Hi ladies,
I love holiday sweaters, I just love them! I think cute sweaters with snowflakes, reindeers, penguins and Santa's are the perfect way to stay warm this season.
Here are some of my favourite cosy sweaters!

This beauty is from H&M. It is my absolute favourite! I love the pop of colour and the detail on the shoulders.

If you're not a fan of snowflakes and reindeers, this is the perfect alternative for you! The cute gold stars make this sweater perfect for the holidays. This sweater is from Asos.com

This super cute penguin sweater is from Asos.com. Need I say more? :)

I love the print on this sweater! It's so cute with the little flowers and hearts. However, I prefer my sweaters to be a little bit longer. This sweater is from Asos.com

This sweater is similar to the sweater from H&M, but I just had to add it! This one is from Asos.com as well.

The last one is from Asos Curve. I think the squirrels are adorable! You can find it on asos.com.

Do you like these kinds of sweaters? Do you wear them during the winter and holiday season?

Project Pan: update

Hi ladies,
I wanted to give an update on my project pan progress, because I've been doing project pan for two months. This feels really good and I'm excited to finish more beauty products, especially since I want to downsize my collection and get rid of some of the "clutter".

Review Buxom Plumping Lip Polish

Hi ladies,

last week I won a Sephora Giveaway! I'm super excited, because I've never won anything before :)
I received two Bare Minerals products, that is a lip gloss and a powder foundation. I wanted to review the lip gloss first, since I have been using it a lot.

The colour is Dolly and it is really pretty. There is some shimmer in this lip gloss, however it is not very noticable. So, when the lip gloss wears off, there are no shimmers left on your lips either (as some lip glosses can do).

The scent is really sweet. I think it smells like brown sugar, which I like.
Although I do feel the tingly feeling when I've got the lip gloss on my lips, I can't say if this lip gloss is really plumping. Has anyone ever experienced that a lip plumping product actually plumped their lips? ;)

This lip gloss really moisturises my lips and I love the colour. Its that 'your lip colour, but better' colour.

I think you should all try some of these lip glosses. They are so pretty!

Have you ever tried any of the Buxom Plumping Lip Polishes? Did you like them?
I would love to hear your opinion!

Holiday Countdown: Lush

Hi ladies,
the December holidays will be here before you know it, so I thought I would start a Holiday Countdown series! In these Holiday Countdown posts, I will write about anything concerning the Holidays.

Today I wanted to write about the Christmas collection of Lush. I absolutely love Lush. Thankfully, I have a Lush store around the corner, so I can sniff around regularly :)
Lush has a lot of products in their Christmas collection, so I would really recommend going to a Lush store and have a look (and sniff haha)!

Here are some of my favourites :)

The first product I want to talk about is Snow Fairy. The scent of this shower gel is really sweet, because it smells like cotton candy and vanilla. There is some glitter in this product, but it sinks to the bottom of the bottle. So, I haven't had any glitter on me.
I actually had to smell Snow Fairy a few times before I liked it, because the scent is so sweet! However, I really like it now.

The only downside is that the scent lingers on your body for the rest of the day.
I actually didn't realize this, until a friend of mine asked me what that incredibly sweet scent was... :)

Twilight is another shower gel and it smells like lavender. This makes this the perfect shower gel to use to relax and before going to bed! At first it was a bit weird for me to use it, because Twilight is a very dark shower gel. Apart from the herbal scent of lavender, it is a bit sweet too, and it has glitters as well! I like this combination a lot, however it is more lavender then sweet. So, for those who don't like lavender, I wouldn't recommend this shower gel.

The last one I wanted to talk about is Angels Delight. Even though this is a solid soap, this is my absolute favourite one! I actually chose a big gold chuck last year, which I'm still using. It doesn't have the usual winter or holiday scent, however its still a cosy and warm scent. Angels Delight smells like tangerine and oranges. Although it is fruity, it doesn't smell fresh.

What kind of scent do you like to use during the winter months?
